Can we have an honest conversation, guys? I mean, let’s talk for real. Living in Miami can be pretty pricey…downright expensive depending on what it is that you want to get into, and that can be unfortunate. Lucky for you, we’re all about balance. We don’t believe you have to break the bank to experience Miami life, and to prove it, we’ve compiled a list of fun and free things to do in the city. Enjoy! See the artwork in Wynwood It doesn’t have to be Art Basel for you to enjoy quality artwork. Just walk the streets of this popular neighborhood and enjoy the work lining the walls and buildings around you. Double points for you if you stop and reflect in a signature hand-under-your-chin critic pose. Yoga at Bayfront Park Life is hectic. We all need to decompress sometimes. Why not do it with yoga? In a beautiful, open park? For free! Stretch those limbs, people, not your wallet. Watch a movie at New World Bring your own snacks and a blanket and watch a movie projected onto a giant screen. Sure beats paying $20 for a popcorn and soda at the theater. Visit Domino Park Take a trip to Little Havana and watch the vets play a potentially intense game of Dominos. You may even learn a trick or two. Ride bikes on Old Cutler Trail This one’s self-explanatory. All you need is a bike to hit the scenic trails and enjoy a day out. Stay at the Homewood Suites Miami-Brickell All right, so this one isn’t free per se, but a weekend staycation at this hotel is full of affordable and fun things to do! Like lounging in the pool that comes standard with an amazing view of Brickell…like the complimentary evening socials…like free(!) breakfast and high-speed Wi-Fi so you don’t miss a single Snap. And of course, hit the beach! Outside of parking, this Miami staple costs you zero dollars. Whether you want to actually swim, sunbathe or simply enjoy the scenery, South Beach itself is completely free and always fun! And, guys, that’s only a few things. Get out of the house and explore for yourself! Remember, it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg to have fun in the city. This is Miami, after all.
