Let the sights, sounds and culture engulf you every third Friday at the Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami thanks to The Rhythm Foundation!That’s right, every third Friday of each month you can get the full Haitian experience right here in Miami, Florida. This free event features open studios, children’s activities, food, drinks, arts, crafts, and much, much more!Big Night in Little Haiti has been going on for years and is still going strong. Hands-on art activities for the kids, sponsored by the Positive Impact Foundation among others, goes from 6-10 PM.Did we mention live music?The next event happens August 21, 2015 and features PNP Plezi’n Nap Pran with an opening set by Rara Rock! If you’re not familiar with these names, don’t worry because you will be by the end of the night full of dancing!If you can’t make it on August 21, be sure to get out September 18 when Magnum Band will be rockin’ the stage.Little Haiti is a Miami neighborhood considered the cultural heart for the Haitian Diaspora. The area boasts galleries, Haitian book and music stores and the aforementioned Little Haiti Cultural Center. Aside from hosting Big Night In Little Haiti, the Cultural Center also hosts dance and theater performances.So come out and experience the culture, sounds, and most importantly the food of Haiti!
